When We Die

The acknowledgment of death is a fundamental part of the human experience, but we rarely reflect on it in our daily lives until the unthinkable happens. It's uncomfortable to imagine our own death or the death of a loved one: Death is permanent, unknowable, and exposes our fragility.
However, if we give death our attention, even momentarily, it can be motivating, perhaps clarifying. It can help us focus on the things that are truly important, as well as prepare us for when the inevitable happens.

When We Die is a two-part virtual reality experience that guides users through the process of contemplating their own death, presenting points of view that may not previously have been considered.

I was the co-creator, project leader, producer, designer and developer for this project.

It was been featured/exhibited in Engadget, Crossfader magazine, MEX Design Podcast, Harvard Divinity School, WCVB Boston
