If You Know, You Know

The exhibition If You Know, You Know explores typography, language, and culture with a presence across three public locations in New York City: the Times Square Subway Station, Cooper Union, and the New York Public Library. The exhibition celebrates multilingual and multi-script typography in English, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, Russian, and Arabic. It investigates whether typography can help overcome language barriers in our diverse, globally connected society. Its central theme uses slang to reflect how youth culture and technology shape expression. Through slang from the internet, expressions of surprise or disbelief, and trendy words, it aims to generate a dialogue among viewers.
