Budweiser (including Bud Light) is the biggest brand for Anheuser-Busch InBev. The global beer giant was created in 2008 when Belgium-based InBev purchased Anheuser-Busch. Bud is now the No. 3 beer brand in the U.S. behind Bud Light and Coors Light, as volume in the U.S. shrank for the 28th straight year in 2016. The brand has made strides internationally under AB InBev's watch and is now available in 85 countries with two of three Buds consumed outside the U.S. Global brand was up 2.3% in 2016 on strength in Brazil, China and Russia. Budweiser unveiled a redesign of the brand and packaging in 2016 that emphasized the brand's heritage.
